The EthicAI4CARE project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, has officially launched. Mahsa Shabani from the Law Centre for Health and Life will play a role in this initiative being part of the Work Package 3 (WP3) to contribute our expertise in legal and ethical aspects of AI.

This initiative brings together a consortium of seven partners, including leading universities and organizations, to address the ethical implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the healthcare sector. The project is coordinated by the University of Macerata under the leadership of Professor Benedetta Giovanola, with additional partners: 

  • University of Helsinki 

  • Tallinn University of Technology 

  • University of Ghent 

  • University of Porto 

  • University of Amsterdam (UvA) 

  • The Way S.r.l. 

The EthicAI4CARE project has secured €400,000 in funding to develop a training framework that promotes digital skills and ethical decision-making in the use of AI in healthcare. By aligning with the European Commission’s Digital Strategy for Europe 2030, the project aims to foster trustworthy and responsible AI in the health sector. The project runs until 2027.
