The Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development (AIGHD) is a collaborative institute between the University of Amsterdam and Vrije University, fulfilling three key roles: fostering research excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration, offering educational programs at various levels, and managing projects focused on global health and development in low- and middle-income countries. AIGHD's mission is achieved by translating research into practical applications, emphasizing the importance of turning research outcomes into policies at local, national, and international levels to drive real-world impact in global health and development.
