Call for applicants: Visiting Research Fellow experiencing forced migration

The Law Centre for Health and Life is accepting applications for a Visiting Research Fellowship (in law/policy related to health) from people who are experiencing forced migration.

Applications for Visiting Fellowships are being accepted from post-PhD scholars who are experiencing forced migration.

Applications from scholars from a range of disciplines are welcome, including but not limited to law, public/global health, anthropology, political science, economics, ethics, communication studies, gender studies, etc.. The specific topic of the Fellowship should be related to law or policy related to human health and/or the living environment.

Purpose

Promoting diversity and inclusion is critical to any cutting-edge academic environment. That’s why we, at the Law Centre for Health and Life, would like to welcome talented post-PhD scholars to conduct their research in-residence at our centre for a period of time.

Visiting Fellowships are one way to mutually enrich the academic environment at the Law Centre and the scholarship and the career paths of its Visiting Fellows. During their residence at our Amsterdam office, Visiting Fellows will have access to a common working space at the Law Centre for Health and Life, and the facilities of the University of Amsterdam (e.g. libraries, seminars and events, social activities etc.). Visiting Fellows will have the opportunity to present their work at organised seminars, and to participate in the scholarly networks that the Law Centre participates in (e.g. ACELG, AIGHD, ACES, AI & health decision making, ...).

Eligibility

Applications for Visiting Fellowships at the Law Centre for Health and Life are open to post-doctoral scholars (i.e. anyone who has been awarded a PhD at the time of application).

At this time, Visiting Fellowships are only open to applicants who already have a legal right to reside in the EU.
