The Law Centre for Health and Life will be submitting a workshop to the 8th European Conference on Health Law. You are invited to submit an abstract to present at this workshop on the topic of ‘Mind the gap: The EU-domestic interface and its implications for health law, governance, and rights’.

The Law Centre for Health and Life (University of Amsterdam) will be submitting a workshop to the 8th European Conference on Health Law, which will be hosted in Ghent, Belgium from 20-22 April 2022.

You are invited to submit an abstract to present at this workshop on the topic of ‘Mind the gap: The EU-domestic interface and its implications for health law, governance, and rights’.

Contributions may want to explore (non-exhaustive list):

  • EU health governance and the role of Member States therein;
  • EU integration in the field of health, its drivers, and its implications for domestic health law and governance;
  • EU strategies and proposals related to health, and the implications for citizens’ enjoyment of their fundamental human rights;

We particularly welcome contributions about big data and data governance, artificial intelligence, health technologies, medical devices, and/or pharmaceuticals. Other proposals are welcome.

Please email your submission to s.k.perehudoff@uva.nl by Tuesday, December 21st, 2021. Include your name, your affiliation, a title of your presentation, and a 200 word abstract. Please indicate whether you plan to attend the 2022 ECHL conference in person.

You will be informed of the result by Friday, December 24th, 2021.
