On May 20, 2021 the third edition of the book 'Aansprakelijkheid bij zorggerelateerde schade' (translated: 'Liability for care-related damage') by Rolinka Wijne has been published. In the third edition, the recent adaptations of the Dutch Civil Law, Book 7, title 7, section 5 are described. An important innovation concerns the liability for the use of defective medical products in light of the recent rulings of the Dutch Supreme Court. Other amendments in this edition are related to the compensation of integrity damage and the explanation of the doctrines concerning proportional liability and 'loss of a chance'.
